JAPAN AIRLINES Corporation or JAL — it is the national airline and the flagship carrier of Japan. One of the largest airlines in Asia, a member of the Oneworld alliance. It is located at Tokyo airports names as Narita (international flights) and Haneda (domestic flights), JAPAN AIRLINES carries out regular international and domestic transportation into 125 airports around the world.
JAPAN AIRLINES was created on October 1, 1953, when the government of the Japan Made a decision about creating of the government airline. In In 1953 the created airline made the first international and transoceanic flight to USA. Airline was fully privatised in 1987. In 2002 JAPAN AIRLINES was merged with Japan Air System, which was at that time the third largest air carrier of the country. In 2008 JAPAN AIRLINES carried 50 million passengers JAPAN AIRLINES passed the IATA security audit.
The fleet of Japan's flagship carrier includes long-range Boeing 787, 767 and 777 aircraft and Boeing 737 aircraft on short-haul flights. The cargo division of the airline, JAL Cargo, uses cargo planes manufactured by Boeing. JALways, a tourist division of the airline, until 2010, operated flights to Polynesia and South-East Asia. JAPAN AIRLINES has 6 subdivisions operating on domestic routes: Hokkaido Air System, JAL Express, J-Air, Japan Air Commuter, Japan Transocean Air and Ryukyu Air Commuter, which operates flights to secondary airports.
